Session II Swim Lessons

Lindenhurst Health & Fitness Center is proud of our extraordinarily popular and diverse aquatics programming for children. Children's swim lessons are taught by our caring and experienced instructors and offered at a variety of skill levels. Adult aquatics programming is also available for those new to swimming, or who would like to brush up on their technique. Learn more about our Adult Swim & Lessons.

Lap Swimming
 

When lanes are open, the lap pool is available to children of all ages who are capable of lap swimming and want to build their endurance. Skill development, playing and splashing must be reserved for supervised swim times only. A parent must be in the water with children under the age of 10, or remain in the natatorium with children ages 11 to 15, at all times.
 

All Ages Supervised Swim
 

Tuesdays 3:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Fridays 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Saturdays 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.
Sundays 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.

 
All ages are welcome to enjoy swimming and playing in the lap pool during supervised swim when a certified lifeguard will be on duty. A parent must be in the pool with children under the age of 10. Children ages 11 and 12 must be accompanied by a parent in the natatorium. Children ages 13 to 15 do not need adult supervision; however, a parent must remain inside the building at all times. Swim diapers are required for all children in diapers or not fully potty-trained. Use of the Warm Water Therapy Pool is reserved for adults age 18 and older.
 

Swim Lessons Quick Facts
 

  • All sessions are 30 minutes long.
  • Lessons are offered seven days a week.
  • Private and semi-private lessons are more individualized than group lessons.
  • Your child will receive individualized instruction and will progress at his or her own pace.
  • Semi-private lessons are ideal for two to three children.
  • Private and semi-private lessons are offered for adults of all swimming abilities.
  • Programming updates can be found on our Facebook page.
  • To cancel private or semi-private lessons, you must call at least 24 hours before your scheduled lesson. No-shows and late cancellations will be charged the full rate.
